Questions we get asked before every partner conversation

Honest answers to the five things SIs and EPCMs want to know before booking a call with us.

01. Is there really no cost to join? What's the catch?

No catch. The partner programme – at every level – has zero annual fees, zero upfront costs, and zero obligation to hit sales targets at the entry levels. We’re 100% channel-focused, which means we don’t compete with you for projects. Your success is directly tied to ours.

“Why is it free? Inductive Automation’s model has been built around integrators since 2003. They don’t sell direct. Neither do we. When you win, we win – so investing in your capability and success is just how we do business.”

02. What do we actually get access to when we join?

From the moment you’re registered, a lot opens up immediately. It grows as you progress through certification levels.

  • Free certification training – Ignition and Canary training is fully covered. No training fees for your team.
  • Free development license – Once one engineer is certified, you get a dev license for demos, POCs and internal builds.
  • Free technical support – Direct access to our team. No per-incident charges, no support contracts needed.
  • Marketing & sales tools – Brochures, architecture diagrams, sell sheets and branded materials ready to use.
  • Partner discounts – Immediate discounts once registered, unlocking deeper at each certification level.
  • Listed on 4 platforms – Inductive Automation, Canary Labs, Sepasoft and Element8. Inbound leads start finding you.

03. How long does certification actually take?

More accessible than most people expect. Inductive University is entirely self-paced, so your engineers can work through it around live projects. Most reach Credentialed within a few weeks of focused study.

The Core Certification test is online. Once you’ve hit the Credentialed level, your first Core test is free – no cost, no risk. Gold Certification requires more depth and hands-on experience, but by that stage, you’re already delivering real Ignition projects.

The thing most SIs don’t realise: You don’t need to be Certified before you can start quoting. You can register today, get access to the pricing tool, and begin scoping projects while your engineers work through the training.

04. We already work with other SCADA platforms. Can we add Ignition without dropping them?

Absolutely, Adding Ignition to your portfolio gives you a platform that fills the gaps other vendors struggle with: unlimited tags, unlimited clients, no per-seat licensing, and a web-based architecture that genuinely scales.

What we typically see is that once a partner wins a project with Ignition, the unlimited licensing model changes how they scope and price future work. It becomes a competitive differentiator, not a replacement for everything else, but the platform they reach for when projects need scale, flexibility, or fast deployment.

05. What does the onboarding process actually look like?

Simple. Three steps, and we walk you through all of it.

  • Book a call with us. We’ll walk you through the full programme, answer your specific questions, and help you map out where to start based on your team size and current projects.

  • Apply as a partner. The application is free and takes a few minutes. We’ll guide you through the Inductive Automation, Canary and Sepasoft registrations – you can do one, two, or all three at once.

  • Start free training. Your engineers get access to Inductive University and our local training schedule. We’re available throughout – if anything’s unclear or your team gets stuck, our technical support is there at no cost.

From the call to your first certification, the whole process is designed to fit around your business. There’s no pressure to move faster than makes sense for your team.

Still have questions?

A 30-minute call is the fastest way to get them answered. No obligation – just a real conversation about whether this is a fit for your business.
