Quarterly Webinar | Building What’s Next in Mining with Ignition

Share

Advansys built a SCADA system for EyeSense Processing’s chrome wash plant on their own standardised Ignition framework, built on Ignition Perspective, designed to be reused across plant types.

During commissioning, an unstaffed control room turned motors, water balance, and level-control adjustment into a delay.

The solution: a mobile SCADA application, built on the same Ignition standard, developed and deployed while commissioning was still running.

What we’ll cover:
– How a modular, standardised Ignition framework enabled a fast pivot to mobile without reworking the core architecture
– The commissioning bottlenecks that drove the decision, control room dependency, limited operator access, and communication delays
– Technical challenges in taking control-room faceplates mobile: network coverage, battery life, interface redesign
– Operational outcomes: decentralised control, faster response to process changes, faster commissioning
– Why building on a proper standard, not a one-off build, is what made this kind of rapid adaptation possible

This session is built for engineers, system integrators, and operations managers who want to see how modern SCADA architecture can solve real operational problems, not just in theory, but in practice.
